University of Louisiana at Monroe Online Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Multiple Levels (K-12) Alternative Certification ULMGOLD program is best for the candidates who already possess a Bachelors degree in a field outside of education and want to pursue Louisiana teacher certification in any of subjects including Art, Spanish, French, Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, and Instrumental & Vocal Music.

This program consists of 36 hours. Phase I Courses include EDFN 4001 (3 hours); PSYC 5003 (3 hours); CURR 5000B (3 hours); and CURR 5045B (3 hours).

Phase II Courses include READ 5002 (3 hours); CURR 5056 (3 hours); and CURR 4083 (Internship) (6 hours).

Phase III Courses include PSYC 5005 (3 hours); EDFN 5081 (3 hours); EDFN 5024 (3 hours); and ELED 5009 (3 hours).

For getting admission in the program, a candidate must have a 2.5 actual/ adjusted grade point average on all Undergraduate coursework. He is also required to fulfill other conditions including classroom observations hours, passing score on Praxis I test, Praxis II Content Test, TEACH Delta Region application packet, etc.
