University of Louisiana at Monroe Online RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing

University Online RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BS) ULMGOLD program consists of 125 hours and includes two segments: pre-nursing and professional.

General Education Courses consist of 55 hours. These courses include Core English Composition (6 hours); Core Fine Arts Elective (3 hours); Sociology 1001, Psychology 2001 and 2078 (9 hours); FCSC 2007 (3 hours); Mathematics 1011 and 1016 (6 hours); Biology 1014/1016, 1015/1017, 2014/2015, 2028 (15 hours); Chemistry 1001/1003, or 1007/1009 (4 hours); and Core Humanities (9 hours).

The Professional Courses consist of 70 hours. These include 41 credit hours that are awarded to registered nurses with an unencumbered license and 29 hours of professional nursing courses.

A student needs to complete all courses with minimum grade of ‘C’ to advance in the professional program of the School of Nursing.

For getting admission in the program, a student needs to be a graduate from a state-approved diploma or associate degree nursing program and should hold an unencumbered RN license to practice.

An individual with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree can get ample opportunities to work in hospitals, private health clinics, academic institutions, and pharmaceutical companies.
