Indiana State University - Online Masters Degree in Public Administration (M.P.A.) program is perfect for the professionals who are working in public or nonprofit organizations and wish to advance their career with the help of a master degree in public administration. This program consists of 36 credit hours. Core Courses of 21 credit hours include Proseminar in Public Administration, Statistical Analysis for Public Administrators, Organizational Behavior in Public Agencies, Public Personnel Administration, Budgeting in Governmental Agencies, Seminar in American Government, and Scope and Methods of Political Science.

Electives courses of 12 credit hours can be opted from political science and public administration courses. A student can also choose elective courses offered outside the Department of Political Science with approval from M.P.A. director. Some of the elective courses include Computer and Management Information Systems for Public Administrators, Ethical Concerns in Current American Public Administration, Seminar in Personnel Law, Special Topics in Public Administration, Directed Research in Public Administration, and Seminar in Empirical Theory.

The Capstone Research Seminar in Public Administration is of 3 credit hours.

This distance learning program can be completed entirely on-line with the help of a computer and Internet.
