Indiana State University - Online Certificate in Special Education: Mild Interventions program is intended for the licensed teachers (K-12) who want a special education teaching license in the area of mild interventions.

This program consists of 21 - 27 credit hours. Total credits required to earn to complete the program depend on whether or not a student needs to complete the Prerequisites course. The Prerequisites courses of 6 credit hours include Behavior Management; and Diversity and Disability in Today's Schools. These courses can be waived for the students who have already completed equivalent course at ISU or any other accredited institution.

The main courses of 21 credit hours include Assessment; Strategies in Reading and Learning Arts; Learning Strategies in Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies; Assistive Technology; Collaboration Strategies; Advanced Topics in Special Education: Special Education Law; and High Incidence Disabilities.

This is an online program that can be completed with the help of computer and Internet connection. However, students also need to attend selected seminars that are held on the Indiana State University campus.
