Gifted and Talented Certification - ISU

Indiana State University - Online Certificate in Gifted and Talented program consisting of 9 credit hours is best for the licensed teacher (K-12) who want to have a gifted and talented teaching license. After a candidate completes all courses successfully, he/ she can add a gifted and talented teaching license to his/her current Rules 2002 Indiana teaching license at the school level.

The program includes the required courses on Practicum with the Gifted and Talented, Education of the Gifted, and Methods with the Gifted. For those holding a Rules 46/47 license, a new 2002 GT license is issued at the developmental level of the existing license.

The minimum requirements for getting admission in this program include a baccalaureate degree of a regionally accredited institution. A student also needs to have scored a minimum undergraduate grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

This non-degree licensure program can be done completely via distance education.
