Indiana State University - Online Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology program is designed with a focus on the areas of design and management. In the design studies are covered the concepts and practical training of mechanical tools, machines, etc. The management part of the program trains a student about the resources and systems.

The degree program includes 62 - 70 credit hours and is divided into the different sections of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Technical Electives, Management Electives, and Mathematics. The Mechanical Engineering Technology Course consists of 28 credits and includes Graphic Analysis, Applied Statics, Applied Mechanisms, Advanced Computer Aided Design (CAD) Concepts, Engineering Design and Management, Economic Analysis for Engineering and Technology, Strength of Materials, Elements of Machine Design, Applications and Gaging of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and Senior Seminar.

The Manufacturing Course with 9 credits includes Fundamentals of Manufacturing Processes, Manufacturing Processes and Materials, Applications of Robotic and Automation Systems.

The Technical Electives of 6 credit hours include Engineering Analysis, Fluid Power Technology, Thermo Systems, Cooperative Industrial Practice, Tool and Die Design, Senior Project in Industrial Technology. The Management Electives of 6 credit hours includes Production Planning and Control, Quality Control of Industrial Products, Industrial Organization and Functions, and Survey of Management. The Mathematics Course of 3 credits includes Fundamentals and Applications of Calculus.

A student can complete the program by distance learning or by attending the regular classes in the university campus.
