Counseling Psychology Degree (Online Master of Arts Degree)
Counseling psychology field generates lots of job positions for the professionals. Counseling centers, hospitals, large organizations and offices are always in need of psychology counselors. Breyer State University - Online Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program consists of 70 semester hours. The courses include Theories of Personality (6 hrs), Psychopathology (6 hrs), Counseling Techniques and Theories (6 hrs), Tests and Measurements (6 hrs), Ethics in Counseling (6 hrs), Group Counseling (6 hrs), Brief Therapy (6 hrs), Marriage and Family Counseling (6 hrs), Brief Therapy with Children and Adolescents (6 hrs), Substance Abuse Counseling (6 hrs), and Independent Study Course (10 hrs).
A student gets 10 weeks’ time to complete an online course. If a student wants the time limit to be extended, permission of the instructor is required. A bachelor degree in psychology, behavior psychology, clinical psychology, addictions counseling psychology, etc., is required for getting admission in this program. The program allows students to transfer college credits/ courses earned previously during their college programs to this program.
This program does not prepare a student for a license in counseling.
