Breyer State University - Online Master of Case Management program consists of 50 semester hours. The core courses include the Case Management Process (5 hrs), Quality and Case Management (5 hrs), Managed Care (5 hrs), Utilization Management (5 hrs), Reimbursement Systems (5 hrs), Ambulatory Case Management (5 hrs), Clinical Practicum (10 hrs) and Case Management Symposium (10 hrs).
During the clinical practicum course, students work with the instructor and receive education oriented experience in case management services.
This program is recognized by the American Academy of Case Management. A student can apply for the Fellowship status in the American Academy of Case Management after completing the courses: The Case Management Process, and Quality and Case Management and Managed Care.
A student needs to have a bachelors degree in nursing, social services, or a related health care field and one year experience in case management to get admission in this program.
A student gets 10 weeks’ time to complete an online course. The time limit can be extended on request and with permission of the instructor. All the courses are offered online and give students opportunity to complete the degree program through distance education without the need to attend regular classes.
The program allows students to transfer applicable college credits/ courses earned previously during their college programs to this program.
