Breyer State University - Online Doctorate in Counseling Psychology program is suitable for the students who have master degree in psychology and/or counseling and are appropriately licensed to practice.
This program consists of 72 Semester hours. The courses include Ethnic and Cultural Issues in Counseling (6 hrs), Career Development and Counseling (6 hrs), Life Coaching (6 hrs), Personality Assessment (6 hrs), Advanced Psychopathology (6 hrs), Crisis Counseling (6 hrs), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (6 hrs), Neuropsychology (6 hrs), Statistics (6 hrs), Research Methods (6 hrs) and Dissertation (12 hrs).
A student gets 10 weeks’ time to complete an online course. If a student wants the time limit to be extended, permission of the instructor is required. The program allows students to transfer college credits/ courses earned previously during their college programs to this program.
A student needs to have a master degree in psychology, counseling psychology, or a closely related field for getting admission in this program.
This program does not meet any state’s specific requirements for licensing.
