The courses include Introduction to Paralegal Studies (8 hrs), Legal Analysis & Writing Paralegal’s (8 hrs), Civil Litigation for Paralegal’s (8 hrs), Criminal Law & Procedure for Paralegal’s (8 hrs), Real Estate for Paralegal’s (8 hrs), Family Law for Paralegal’s (8 hrs), Wills, Trusts, Estates for Paralegal’s (8 hrs), Torts (8 hrs), Contracts (8 hrs), Ethics for Paralegal’s (8 hrs), Law Office Management (8 hrs), Administrative Law for Paralegal’s (8 hrs), Alternative Dispute Resolution (8 hrs), Business Organizations for Paralegal’s (8 hrs), and Practicum (12 hrs).
During the final higher division course, a student has to work under the supervision of a law firm or attorney in his/ her locality.
The program is offered and completed online and can be started at any time. A student gets 10 weeks’ time to complete an online course. If a student wants the time limit to be extended, permission of the instructor is required.
A student needs to have a high school diploma or an earned GED for getting admission in this program. Students can transfer college credits/ courses earned previously during their college programs to this program.
