The main upper division nursing credit courses (competency examinations) consisting of 72 semester hours include Nursing Theory & Foundations (5 hrs), Nursing Assessment Across the Life Span (7 hrs), Ethical Dilemmas in Nursing Practice (5 hrs), Acute and Chronic Care I (10 hrs), Acute and Chronic Care II (10 hrs), Health Promotion (5 hrs), Community Health Care (5 hrs), Trans-cultural Nursing (5 hrs), Nursing Leadership (5 hrs), Professional Issues in Nursing (5 hrs), and Nursing Research (10 hrs). About 52 hours of lower division nursing credits are awarded to the students who are accepted into the program. After successful completion of the program, a student is awarded the degree with a total of 124 credit hours.
A student needs to have a current licensure as a registered nurse as well as 2-year experience in clinical nursing for getting admission.
All courses are offered and completed online. No clinical examinations are conducted during the program.
